Idukki Arch Dam
This is the world's second and Asia's first arch dam, constructed across the Kuravan and Kurathi hills. 550 ft high and 650 ft wide, the dam lies close to the Cheruthorathi barrage. To its west is the Kulamavu dam. Idukki wild life sanctuary is located nearby.
Echo Point
This popular stop over point enroute Kundala from Madupetty is a land of fun and merriment. Here, one can hear back his/her shouting as an amplified echo - hence the name.

From this look out point, one can take a breath taking westward view from the upper stretches of Idukki. This is a popular stop over point in the Kulamav -Thodupuzha road.
